Houchin Blood Bank along with members of the Disabled American Veterans are proud to present
our second annual “Armed Forces Day – A Military Blood Drive”.
Family and Friends of “ALL BRANCHES of the ARMED FORCES” are invited to Honor and
Support the Men and Women of Our U.S. Military “In Uniform Today and Yesterday”!
Both Bakersfield City and Kern County Fire Departments will be on site to display the Grand
American Flag during the event. Donors will enjoy patriotic music and lunch provided by Brookside
Deli, ice cream bars from Dreyers, beverages from Pepsi, an American Flag sheet cake from Costco
and Carney’s Kettle Corn!
Houchin is proud to acknowledge Armed Forces Day. It is a great opportunity for our community to
come together to honor our men and women of service. Remember your loved ones who have fought
for our freedom and those who are currently serving our country today.
We invite our Kern County community, family and friends to dedicate this day to patriotism and
donate blood. Give the “Gift of Life”!
