The Bakersfield Firefighters, International Assoc of Firefighters Local #246, will join together for the annual Fill the Boot drive to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Assocation.
Their goal is to raise $25,000 which is an increase from last year's $17,000.
The money raised at this event will remian in the local area to help families with the purchase of wheelchairs, leg braces, or communication devices. MDA also provides a pediatric clinic at Children's Hospital Central California, monthly support groups and summer camp.
