The Beale Memorial Library; Beale Air Force Base; Why are htey Both Named after Former Navy Lieutenant Edward Fitzgerald (Ned) Beale?
Chirs Mayse, wing historian for the Beale Air Force Base and 9th Reconnaissance Wing, and recipient of an Air Force level Exemplary Civilian Service award for his recent depolyment to Balad Air Base, Iraq, will give a presentation on the history of the Beale Air Force Base, the mission of the 9th Reconnaissance Wing, and why an air force base was named after a former Navy lieutenant! Mr. Mayse, along with a special display courtesy of Beale Air Force Base in Marysville, CA will be here Saturday, April 26 in the Auditorium.
This free event is in honor of the Beale Memorial Library 20th Anniversary; Meet me at the Beale...Again.
