KGET Community

The Friendship Force of Kern County is a local chapter of The Friendship Force International.  This organization provides the opportunity to make friends accross the cultural, geographic and linguistic barriers that can separate us.  This is accomplished through providing home hospitality to members of a club in one part of the world who travel on an arranged visit to another club in another part of the world.  Kern County FF has welcomed 29 groups since it was chartered in 1988, and has sent "ambassadors" to more than 20 locations throughout the world.  The celebration on April 11 will be shared with a group of teachers and students from Thailand.
