All dogs over the age of four months are required to be vaccinated against Rabies and be licensed in the state of California.  Kern County Animal Control's low-cost rabies vaccination clinlics are open to anyone that needs to have their dog vaccinated and licensed.  The rabies vaccination fee for all dogs is $5.  The license MUST be purchased at the same time.  The cost for a license is as follows:

Non-neutered or spayed dog

• 1 yr - $60
• 2 yr - $120
• 3 yr - 150

Neutered or spayed dog (proof of surgery required for discount)

• 1 yr - $15
• 2 yr - $25
• 3 yr - $30

Neutered or spayed dog - Senior Discount (limit 3 dogs, discount for 62 yrs old or older, proof of surgery required)

• 1 yr - $5
• 2 yr - $10
• 3 yr - $15

All dogs must be on a leash and aggressive dogs must be muzzled.
